This is a day to remember that God’s creation includes more than people, but also the furry and slithering, winged and web-footed. Bring your dog or cat, fish or snake for a blessing when we commemorate St. Francis, who preached to the flocks of birds around him. Animals can stay with you throughout the service in our carpet-free, upholstery-free worship space. Please keep your animals on leashes or in carriers. Everyone receives treats and remembrances of the day.
Children are welcome to bring their stuffed friends for a blessing. Those who have lost animals are welcome to bring a picture of their love one to the front during the blessing, as we remember those who have died and are in God’s care.
