It has been an exciting year of being here at Augustana Lutheran Church. What really moves me is the community and the dedication of this congregation to the ministry that I am called to and the mission work that you all have embraced that is, Body and Soul Campus Ministry. YES, we have a new name-Body and Soul UChicago Campus Ministry; the work that we do, and the ministry we are immersed in, enfold both our sacred bodies and our souls. I am thankful that Augustana, and the wider community of faith and of humanity have entrusted to this important work and it has been an absolute thrill; I’m looking forward to many years of making this campus ministry a point of impact with the UChicago community.
So Join us every Sunday night’s at 6:00 p.m. during the academic year (September through June) for Body and Soul worship and dinner!
Join us on Thursday nights for Conversations on Faith whether we are engaging with local public theologians, and activists to engaging the WORD in Bible Study .
Join us monthly (times/dates TBA) for all things fun, community building activities like bowling or skating as well as putting and living our faith into action, whether it be community organizing, volunteering or leadership development.
