On September 1st, the Augustana Council, in its capacity as the Call Committee, conducted an in-depth official interview with Pastor Matthew Stuhlmuller for the role of Parish Pastor. Following that meeting, the Council voted unanimously to recommend to the Congregation that we call Pastor Stuhlmuller to this role. We have seen his relational approach toward making disciples in his work with Campus Ministry, which has thrived under his leadership, and we’re excited to see where that approach can take the wider parish. We have also been impressed with his collaborative and energetic leadership demonstrated in a wide range of contexts, including mentoring four Pastoral Interns, and proactively developing a detailed vision and plan for the next steps in the life of our Congregation.
On Sunday, September 27th, we will hold a Congregational meeting after the second service, to vote to call Pastor Stuhlmuller as our Parish Pastor. Before that, after the second service on Sunday, September 20th, we will hold a Congregational Q&A, where you can learn more about Pastor Stuhlmuller’s vision in an interactive session.
