Solar Project Celebration – Boards and Luncheon

Last Sunday, Augustana celebrated the completion of its solar project, in worship, with special guests, and at a luncheon. To see the first post about the celebration, follow this link. Augustana’s Green Team organized the luncheon – a festive and celebratory time together. The food was prepared byWajia Niazi, through connections made by Dorothy Pytel and our building partners at the Hyde Park Refugee Project

Around the room were boards that Elizabeth Roma created about the solar project. They tell the story and offer a lot of information. If you haven’t taken the time to read them, please do so – they are excellent!

Because the solar panels are on the roofs with no indication in the building that we have them, we are going to permanently mount these excellent boards in a public area, as an ongoing reminder of our commitment and efforts to bring the solar project to completion. We are also considering ways to draw attention to the project for those who pass our building on the outside.
