The Feast of the Pentecost – Prayers for the Gifts of the Spirit, New Members, Enrolling for Baptism

This Sunday, May 28th, we celebrate the Feast of the Pentecost – remembering when the Apostles and other followers of Jesus were filled with the Holy Spirit, following Jesus’ execution and resurrection, and marking the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world. In many ways, Pentecost is the birth of the church.

Help Decorate the Nave

Join Pastor Goede at 7:45 and help fill the Nave with red balloons in preparation for our celebration of the Feast of the Pentecost.

Prayers for the Gifts of the Spirit

Between the services this Sunday, instead of the education hour, we will gather in the Nave at 10 am for Prayers for the Gifts of the Spirit. During this time, we will begin with a reading, followed by communal prayer and time for individual prayers at stations set up around the Nave.

New Members, Enrolling for Baptism

During the service, among the most important of the church year, we will receive new members. We will also enroll Aidan Cessor for baptism, as he begins a period of preparation which will culminate with his baptism at the next Easter Vigil.
