This Sunday, October 16th, we welcome our new cantor, Aaron Musser. Aaron (he/him) is completing his third year of seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. As a student at St. Olaf College, he studied religion, saxophone, voice, church music, and conducting – his choral conducting was recognized at the American Choral Director’s Association’s 2019 National Conference in Kansas City.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in music and religion he moved to Milwaukee, WI to serve as director of music at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he restarted the Redeemer Choir, before moving to Chicago to complete his seminary degree. Aaron enjoys forest trails, board games, and Brandi Carlile.
Aaron will serve as Augustana’s cantor through the remainder of the academic year.
