Last week, Keith Cooper was killed during a carjacking. Keith was a familiar face to many as an usher at Augustana, but he also served on the congregation’s council, helped with the events like parking for the Hyde Park Art Fair, facilitated our partnership with the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, represented the congregation at Synod Assembly, connected us with groups like the Step Dancing group that meets at Augustana, and volunteered at our monthly Community Breakfast.
Visitation is planned for Saturday July 24th rom 2-5pm in Gorder Hall. Libations will be poured in Keith’s honor, and a repast will be shared.
A funeral service will be held at Augustana on Monday July 26th in the nave at 11am, followed by interment in the columbarium.
