Making Friends with Other Congregations

After reading a few articles and books together and lots of good discussion, Augustana’s anti-racism reading group is taking steps to reach out and make friends with neighboring like-minded congregations. Taking part in this service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is our first step in friendship with St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Greater Grand Crossing (78th Street, between the Ryan Expressway and Drexel Avenue).  St. Dorothy is a multi-racial parish that is very active in justice issues.

Building friendships with others working for social justice is a practical step we can take as we work to be anti-racist as a community of faith. Join us on Saturday night!
