What a fun Oktoberfest celebration we had last Sunday! Augustana members really stepped up their game with the potluck items they brought – a big thank you to everyone who brought a dish, they were delicious!
A word of thanks, also, to the group that organized this year’s event – especially the work of setting up and cleaning up: John Nielsen, Gary Worcester, Max Kellogg, Bennie Currie, Mike DeLong and Jim Vondracek.
A heartfelt huzzah to Bruce Tammen for his handmade bratwurst, and for all the work he did in grilling them. The bratwurst are a special item, literally a one-of-kind treat – thank you!
And a word of appreciation, also, to Chris Barnard and Jim Vondracek for brewing an Oktoberfest beer and sharing it with us.
These opportunities to come together for fun enliven our community – thank you to everyone who made the Oktoberfest 2018 memorable!
