On July 9th, the congregation voted to call Rev. Kwame Pitts as our new campus pastor. She has been serving Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Holland since graduating from the Lutheran School of Theology in 2015. She brings a passion for social justice, having been a founder during her seminary years of Seminarians for Justice and Decolonize Lutheranism. She and her husband, Robert, have two children, a daughter about to begin a year with Young Adults in Global Mission and a son in high school.
