The Love Fridge at Augustana is a community effort to address food insecurity in a practical, direct way. Augustana hosts the fridge by the congregation’s front entrance on 55th Street. It is available 24/7, for community members to donate food items and to take items that have been donated.
UChicago students, staff or faculty who would like to volunteer for a week of work with The Love Fridge in front of Augustana can contact Sarah Hoehn, sarahhoehn1@gmail.com. You can also volunteer to help keep the Fridge clean and supplied through The Love Fridge mutual aid group, thelovefridge.com.
