Luther’s Taproom

Hosted at Augustana in Hyde Park (55th and Woodlawn), open to anyone interested in good beer, great company and important conversations

The conversation for this session will be on the experiences and spirituality of Christians in India. At Augustana, we have a number of members from India, sharing with us their experiences as Christians in a majority Hindu country. Bring your questions!

Did you know that, according to tradition, the apostle Thomas (of doubting fame) traveled to India and established churches that still claim that heritage today?

We’re tapping an English-style IPA. The OG IPA, less intensely hoppy than the American-ized version that has taken over the beer world, with a more generous malt background. Less fruity and caramel in the flavor than other English-style pale ales. We will also some Irish Dry Stout on hand, a handmade, more flavorful version of Guinness – low alcohol, easy to drink.
Dinner info to-be-announced. Stay tuned!

Parents, if you want to come for the beer and dinner portion and then take the kiddos home for bed before the conversation, that is totally fine – we’d love to have you join us!

We welcome anyone, wherever you are on your faith journey – Lutheran, other Christian, other faiths, spiritual, seeking, agnostic or atheist. Everyone is welcome.
