Sanctuary Stories

Northwestern Medill School of Journalism has a new multi-media journalism theater production called “Sanctuary Stories” about the weeks of ICE occupation in Chicago. There are many different voices that accompany video clips, and each one adds to the complexity of the situation. There are immigrant voices, including one who is a DREAMER, the voice of an immigrant judge, the voice of a sister of an immigrant, the voice of a mayor, the voice of a businesswoman. Each story is different and each one very moving.

There are six shows total in January, all at the Windy City Playhouse, 3014 W. Irving Park Road. Performances are at 7 pm; tickets are $25. If you would like to go but cannot afford to buy a ticket, contact Pastor Nancy Goede (pastor@augustanahydepark.org) for information about how to get a free ticket. You can purchase tickets online at sanctuarystories.org.
