Last autumn’s faith witness and demands for release, an end to unregulated ICE activity, humane conditions and access to provide spiritual care at the Broadview Detention Center became high profile news across the country. Can protest be worship? How are we formed in community for such a time as this? Liza Johnson and Kim Beckmann provide photos, video and reflection on their experience of protest as worship, spiritual formation in community in a justice movement, the revelatory nature of the cross in calling a thing what it is, and the joyful spirit of liberative work.
