Want to help children in poverty in a practical, direct way? Come to Augustana next Saturday, August 9th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm to help sort and put together packs of school supplies with our partners at the Midwest Workers Association (MWA). Please call MWA in advance at (773) 285-0485 to let them know you are interested in volunteering.
Midwest Workers Association is a free and voluntary membership association of low-income workers in the Chicago area. Members help other members meet survival needs while we fight to stop government policies that have led to job losses, poverty wages, home foreclosures, utility shutoffs and denial of health care.
