In addition to being a holy festival day, Easter is a season of fifty days, called Eastertide. During Eastertide, we read from Acts about the apostles, those who had seen the risen Lord, and learn what they say and do right after the resurrection. Eastertide lasts until Pentecost, this year on Sunday, May 19, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the apostles.
