Watanabe Art in Holy Week

You may have noted two delightful prints from noted Japanese artist Sadao Watanabe in Augustana’s Narthex and our collection of smaller prints mounted in the Gustavus Adolphus Room. This Holy Week, we have three additional Watanabe prints displayed in the Nave, given to Augustana by Marnie Rourke and Ruth Patterson. These prints center on Holy Week themes: Jesus washing of the disciples’ feet, the last supper, and Jesus’ carrying his cross. Please take a moment during your Holy Week journey to view and reflect on these remarkable pieces
