The Adult Forum is launching its 2023-24 season with an overview for interested Augustana members of the grant proposal submitted August 18 to the City of Chicago for its Climate Infrastructure Fund, administered by the city’s Department of Planning and Development. This proposal grew out of discussions by the Green Team, shared with the pastors and church council. If funded, it would allow Augustana to install a new roof atop which would be a solar photovoltaic installation that would provide the overwhelming majority of Augustana’s electric power needs. Join us and learn why the fund exists, what Augustana proposed, and how the church and community would benefit. Jim Schwab, who led the grant effort, will do most of the presentation, but Green Team members will be available as well.
