Ashes on our foreheads remind us of God’s words to Adam and Eve as they are driven out of the garden: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” In Lent, we return to God with all of our hearts.
Ashes available at Augustana from 8am to 1pm
Spend as much time as you would like in quiet contemplation in the nave, Pastors will be available to administer the ashes
Service led by Lutheran Campus Ministry and Brent House, at Bond Chapel, 11:30am
1025 E 58th St,, on the main quadrangle of the University of Chicago. You do not have to be affiliated with the university to worship, hear words of repentance and receive ashes
Ash Wednesday Service at Augustana, 7:30pm
Gather at Augustana with other followers of Jesus for worship and to receive the ashes.
