Hyde Park Interfaith Thanksgiving Day Service at Rockefeller

Video will be uploaded here when it is available

Thursday November 26, 2020 at 11:00am – our Annual Thanksgiving Service- ONLINE!!!

Nearly every year since 1928, there has been a Thanksgiving Day service, hosted by the Hyde Park & Kenwood Interfaith Council. Augustana is a key and active member of the Council. This service fills the University of Chicago’s Rockefeller Chapel and features prayers, readings and songs from the representatives of our faith communities, special music and a keynote speaker. This year, for everyone’s health and safety, we choose to deliver the event in a different way. We are going to bring Rockefeller Chapel to your home!

The event will be a pre-recorded video that features music and art and other presentations by various faith communities in our local area as well as our Keynote Speaker Dr. Najeeba Syeed Associate Professor, Muslim & Interreligious Studies Chicago Theological Seminary.

Also featured will be performances from the Chicago Children’s Choir and the Chicago Chorale.

No matter where you are that day, please join the community celebrating Thanksgiving online!
